Downer supports the science on climate change and is committed to taking action to decarbonise its emissions portfolio, in order to help minimise global temperature rise.

Downer has set ambitious Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions reduction targets in line with the Science-Based Target Initiative’s Net Zero Standard (1.5°C pathway), as well as a Scope 3 emissions reduction target aligned to a well below 2°C trajectory.

Our GHG emissions commitments are aligned with a 1.5°C pathway and support the transition to net zero emissions by 2050.

Our targets are:

Emissions reduction by 2032 across Scope 1 and 2 emissions, against a 2020 baseline

30 per cent

Emissions reduction by 2032 across Scope 3 emissions against a 2020 baseline

Net zero by 2050

Across Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions
